The Board met on February 26, 2008 and the design committee met on February 13, 2008. Among the items discussed:

LOBBY FURNITURE

The design committee selected four new chairs and a new carpet for the lobby. The furniture can be viewed on our website:http://www.350bleecker.com/design/lobby/furniture/furniture.html.

The committee still needs to find a coffee table and a console table for the lobby. Members were asked to look for samples to present at the next meeting. The lobby walls will be painted in March after the installation of additional lighting to highlight the lobby art, and after the wood used to secure the art is buried in the wall. A flat, wall mounted radiator will also be installed in the lobby.

The next art installation will be in two weeks. The next design committee meeting will be held in apartment 6E on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, 6:45 PM.

HALLWAYS

The board and the design committee selected carpet for hallway samples, which can be seen on our website: http://www.350bleecker.com/design/hallway.html. The board decided to install a sample (UVL7761 Y0116404P) in the test hallway. If the test is successful, the entire building will be recarpeted.

The building is currently soliciting bids from contractors to put up molding in the hallways. A sample of the molding is on display in front of apartment 1E and 1F. The board believes this project will help us install wiring to each apartment if it is needed for the future.
